I finished chapter three, finally. The last scene was a fight between siblings from the older brother's point of view. Needless to say, it was difficult for me to write, but I think I muddled through just fine.

Now on to chapter four and 11k!

So, as an update of sorts: I'm still working at Waldenbooks, and it is ever so helpful.

I've completed Chapter Five, but I need to edit Chapter three, finish writing a piece of chapter four, then edit it, and edit five.

In addition, I reworked the name for the school. This one has stuck. I like it.

Freemason's School. Wow. Why didn't I think of the Freemasons before? They're a large aspect of the pagan/wiccan culture, plus they're referenced in various other religions as well as other areas such as architecture. Amazing, is it not?

In any case, as soon as I get more done (like not just planning out the chapters, but writing them) I'll update again.

I certainly did not expect to be as busy as I am over the summer. I haven't had time to sit down and write, although I could be blamed for not making the time to do so. I'm working a part-time job at Borders Books, and honestly I don't believe there's a better job. I love working there. Plus the benefits of the discount... I've been buying more books than ever. So I've been catching up on my reading. Particularly I've bought the first Harry Potter book in Spanish, I have yet to read it though. In addition I bought yet another manga series to try out (as my addiction is ever present), the first book in the Vampire Diaries, which I'm mostly finished; Skinny, a book told by two siblings: one with an eating disorder, one without; and Blood and Chocolate, probably made well-known because of the movie. I'm still in the process of reading the Warriors Saga.

In any case, I've been busy and I feel the need to wrap up chapter three. I think I can do it easily now that I have ideas for the confrontation between a conservative father and a cunning son.

FORREST

no sooner had I thought I was out of the bad times in writing, but I've sunk back down. There's been so much going on lately it's hard to keep up. So I'm wading through, and the work I'm putting out otherwise just doesn't feel like it's up to par. Perhaps I'll settle down with some music, my computer, and just try to get out whatever's in my brain.

After all, Laura did help me piece together (and chart out) the introduction to chapter two. I can at least get that written for Thursday, although I'd like it much better if I got more work on chapter three done.
