Jan. 14th, 2011 08:50 pmSo, I woke up with TONS of creativity and a need to write some more of Book One. I'm hoping to finish up the first Chapter, but who knows.
I'm thinking of doing quotes before each chapter--I've been finding lots that I want to add in. Maybe? I don't know, though. The first chapter alone will probably be 10k or more. Crazy, huh?
Alright, now off to actually write.

So the past few days I've been agonizing over the name for the series. I've thrown out every single thing that's either been suggested or I've thought up. Eventually, when I mentioned it to Chellis, he told me I was being an idiot. So now I'm not going to worry myself over a title, whether for books or the series as a whole. It'll come to me when it comes, I suppose.
Every once in a while I need a kick on the butt to get going in the right direction again.
However, the goal for tonight is 3k. I want to make it past 10k. Sounds good, yeah? Well, hopefully I can make it.

Nov. 7th, 2010 02:19 pmSo I aimed for 13k yesterday, but made it to 10,222. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I'm very slightly over the actual goal for NaNoWriMo, but on the other hand... I wanted to have more by now.
Well, I'll be writing up to 13k today. No questions asked. I want to do it and I will.

Nov. 5th, 2010 12:08 amSo I reached 7k by 12am; not quite my goal, but good enough. I'll get to at least 9k if not 10k by tonight. Since i got my MC (main character) out of the funeral/wake, it's been smooth sailing. Of course, I only have up to Chapter Four planned. I'm in Chapter Three right now. Hopefully I'll sit down before I start writing again and outline a few chapters ahead. I think there will be about 20 chapters in all. Hopefully. Maybe less.
In addition, I have backed up my novel on a flashdrive I bought for this specific reason. :D
PS. I love how when my best friend has a question like "what are the dimensions of a grizzly bear claw?" my wonderful boyfriend has the heart to go out and find out the answer so she doesn't have to take time out of writing in order to research it. He's positively amazing and I love him so dearly.

I got Nano rolled last night and ended up writing another 103 words, bringing my word count to 5,180. I stopped and worked on the mansion on Minecraft, played some WoW (got acheesements), and went to work. Now I'm running on Monster and I'm waiting for Dead Like Me S2 to finish downloading as well as BAM! to open so I can go sit in their cafe' and type away at my novel. -nodnod-

Now, 10k mark! I sincerely hope I get more written today, but I desperately need a nap. -yawn- I'm sooooooooo tired!
But I met and passed my goal for today, so I'm all set. Night shift tonight, so I'm not sure how much more I'll get done.
