[stuff to do and stuff done]
Feb. 19th, 2008 02:53 pmSo I've managed to get a lot done in the past two weeks. I've started the first chapter which is more action based than the following chapters, yet vague in a way that makes it mysterious and keep the reader not only guessing, but wanting to continue to read the story. I envision each chapter as a sort of arc where it's low at first in tone, action and depth, then builds as the chapter continues, then begins to crest down at the end of the chapter towards a sort of resolution, but then the subject changes and a new chapter begins. Maybe I can have two arcs in one chapter when I get to the middle chapters, but I could just be setting myself up for disaster.
In any case, I believe I need to finish sorting out Damien's family now, otherwise I'll never get around to it. Just like finding the other two political party's names: Party One and Three. Party Two I named 'Awair' having Norse roots, akin to the Velief family (which is one of the influential families of this party). I will be doing Party Three's name to the lead family (Japanese) and the First Party to old Irish/English origin.
Also, a Universe Timeline might be helpful and figuring out which 'time' they're set in. I have no real time period at the moment. I've been working on tone and inflection: my tone wasn't working well but Laura helped to give me ideas on how to work it. She also helped give ideas on what to do next and how to arrange chapters, paragraphs and the like.
I'll write more later (or not, since I have to work).
