As far as Paper Fireflies goes, I'm working on Chapter Two and have planned up to Chapter Four.

On a touch of the embarrassing side: I had to Google whether or not Fireflies actually hung out in Georgia. D: My Encyclopedic mind was lacking in knowledge of that specific quandary. Good thing I know now, though, right?

EDIT1 (11:04 am): Researched PTSD for Katherine. I then had an hour and a half long conversation with my sister Erica about how to make the character realistic, how I had my novel started, where I wanted it to go and such. I'm very glad that I talked with her, she opened my eyes to a lot of issues I didn't even know I was having. :) Yay for Erica!

Seriously, I've been trying to brainstorm all day for what should come next (plotting wise) for The Runner. I've got nothing right now. I keep getting snippets of conversations from Splintered Man instead. Which is not helpful. At all.

Maybe writing will bear some fruit.

We'll see.

While doing my mile run this morning, I planned out another four chapters of The Runner. Yay! That means I've plotted up to Chapter Nine. I have a lot to do, but I'm hoping to get some more writing in today!

So I only have a thousand or so words written for this one, but I knew I needed to solidify what the plot was going to be. Mostly, I needed to figure out the starting point, and go from there to get the middle bit figured in (that I have loosely planned). The problem I encountered was that there are two ways to go about the beginning. I started off thinking option #1 was the perfect way to go about it, but the more I think about it, I think option #2 is better--it gives me the chance to introduce the plot instead of just jumping straight into it.

So, I'm taking some time to mull it over--meanwhile, I'll be working on the Minecraft Mansion.

Yup, this chapter's going to be looonnnngg. I'm okay with that, though. It sets the pace for me. In other news, Maybe by Sick Puppies is amazing. I guess I never really listened to the words until now. But I love it, love it, love it.

Will be editing as I continue. As for The Runner...

A little pathetic, but hey! Now I actually know what my plot is, so I can plan it out and then write lots more!

I've had a few people ask about what the Series is about ([livejournal.com profile] randomgoddess3 for one! :D). So I decided that I would sit down and tell you all about it!

First and foremost, I've been working on this Series since my freshman year of High School, my Senior year I took a whole course based on working on writing the first book in the series, which resulted in this journal.

The main characters are Damien Dwyre and Lyki Velief. They are growing up in a world inside of our own, where magic is real, but so are politics. Unfortunately for these two boys, they have to deal with politics straight off the bat--their families lead their causes. With this in mind, not all politicians are great people; Emmerick's mind has been a little twisted and his moral compass is misguided. He offers some of the party members' children a "favor" if they will do him a favor. None of them agree to this but Lyki, who ends up being manipulated. The children start dying, or have attempts made on their lives, but no one knows who or what's behind it. Damien seems to think it's Lyki while Lyki is trying to stop Emmerick. This spans over six books.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I hope it's clear (and this is just the main plot, mind you ;) ).

Okay, not really a romance. I'm thinking horror, actually. And "you" would be Rusty. So I've been brainstorming and I still don't know of any plots that I could write that would be horror-y. :/ I'm terrible at that genre. However, I do have the idea that one of us would write through the victim's eyes, the other through the possible-psycho-killer's. Wouldn't that be badass? Okay, maybe not. Maybe possible-psycho-killer's and the sheriff in town? That would flush out the book a bit more. Get more characters involved and such.

I will have to bring this up to him.

In addition, I've been getting some feedback from friends/family about Be Happy, Idiot and I'll start fixing it up soon.

The Runner is up to 850 words, but I plan on 2,000 by the end of today. For reals this time!

Be Happy, Idiot is entirely planned out; all sixteen chapters of it. It should be well over 50,000 words (or I hope so, anyway). It has a well-rounded plot with plenty of action, drama, and attempted murders (there are four, currently).

I have tiny details planned and written down so I will have each Chapter being happy happy happy!

Hopefully everyone who's looking forward to reading this will find it an enjoyable ride.

Anyway, I have a word count to start knocking down. I *will* make 25k today, even if it kills me. At least 1500 now, then a nap, then another 1500. Rain or shine: I'll be writing you, you silly novel!

EDIT1 (8:50 am): put up an excerpt from Be Happy, Idiot on my nanowrimo page. :)
