Well, I sent off the first five chapters of my Series to my Dad so he could see if I have any continuity issues, or have anything that's unclear. I'll be sending more along as I get more written. Without further ado, I'll put a little exerpt here for people to read.

The third party’s representative cleared his throat after everyone was seated. He stood, everyone turning their faces so they could watch him as he fumbled slightly with his chair.
“I would like to present an issue of importance.” He watched their faces fill with intrigue and confusion: ambivalence in the case of Tiernan Velief. He was jittery; being the bearer of bad news did that to a man, He directed his gaze at Tiernan who seemed somewhat surprised, and he opened a folder on the wooden table before him, taking out many laminated pieces of paper.
“As many of you probably have already heard, our security system was tripped last night but shut off promptly by the invader. Fortunately, the alarm had already awoken Mister Teijo Aki and he immediately phoned the police. A large sum of money was stolen, and the thief escaped unscathed—and rather quickly for having to open a locked vault. Our security camera captured some identifying details while he was in the process of his seemingly anonymous break-in.” At this point many people cleared their throats and shifted uncomfortably, looking back and forth between the two men who were having a stare-down. The two men in question did not break their intense gaze as Tiernan spoke.
“And what does this have to do with the Awair Party?” Tiernan’s tone was bored, one of a long-suffering man. His green gaze was full of an emotion one couldn’t quite put their finger on, his body language making it seem as though he was totally in control. The man presenting the information looked upon him with a sort of hardened gaze, his fingers flipping the laminated paper in his hand around, allowing the audience to view the 8”x11” picture.
“The gauntlet was the identifying piece on the invader, Mr. Velief. This gauntlet, as you all can easily see, has the Velief family symbol engraved on it.

His small hand was covering the meat. The vendor looked over, a yell jumping from his lips. The gruff voice startled the small figure, his cloak whipping about his frame. He moved swiftly, spinning away with the meat in hand. The basket on his arm swung dangerously as the crowd parted. None moved to halt the thief, he moved quickly through the crowd. A hand clamped on his small arm. He wrenched. Away, fleeing: he left the square, racing through the streets. He swerved. Arm arcing down; basket sliding to the ground. Thunk. The basket hit the ground; he whirled, leaving it at the specified drop point next to the silver suitcase he had placed earlier. He moved on, cries from the Chains erupting from behind him. His legs flexed. Thudding footsteps sounded in the street behind him, his boots hit the ground softer as his grace carried him more quickly than the heavy guards in their chain mail.
