Aug. 22nd, 2008 10:30 pmWell, a new school year will be under way soon, so I guess a revamp will be in store, as well as a visit to the school. Unfortunately what with my computer having been on the fritz all summer I haven't gotten much more done on the actual writing portion. However, I've been steadily working on the background information, but I still can't seem to settle with a name for the school in Finland. What I chose before just doesn't seem to fit. I know it's an International School. I can't use "Gifted Youngsters" because that was coined by the makers of X-Men. Darn them. It's been bothering me though.
I'm brainstorming.
In any case, I've finished up the background information for two characters today. For some of them I just need to type some things up and draw conclusions. That should be easy. If only I had a working computer. I suppose I could ask to steal Chellis's or my Mum's more often than I do. But still, in the long run I feel like I'm getting nothing done. I'm just cementing what I already know. I guess finalizing it and putting it on paper is good for a reference when I get farther along, but these days I feel like I'll never be able to get farther along. I can't even look at what I have down now. I don't have a hard copy and I'm not willing to risk starting my computer.
I guess I'll have to stop whining and start pushing my father to get the darn loose screw out of my fan compartment. I would say this weekend but we have company. Maybe sooner rather than later though. (Grrr, I hate putting things off)
