I've finished a draft of the first chapter, but have set it aside until I've completed a couple of other chapters. I'll go over it again once I've completed the next three chapters.

Other than that I've thought about where I want the entire series to go: whether I want it to be a romance, an adventure, or a tragedy, or any mixture inbetween. I'm still unsure, but I'll have it "on the back burner".

Congratulations Guin! I know how much thought and research you have put into this series. And, I know it was hard to get this first chapter finished. I can't wait to read it.

I think a mixture is always good. It keeps things alive and interesting but its just a thought and my opinion. I'm sure whatever u pick it will be good.

I hope it's good. I like adventure, romance, and tragedy usually, so I might stick to those.

I think back burner is a good place for this. You don't necessarily have to decide what the story is, as far as a label is concerned. You have clear ideas on your characters' personalities and problems: these are really the heart of your story.
